Colleagues, It is my melancholy duty to inform all on this list that Associate Professor Jean Rϋeger passed away on Saturday afternoon at the Prince of Wales hospital. Two months ago, he contracted an incurable metastatic lung cancer and declined very rapidly. He has made an enormous contribution to surveying education, EDM calibration and high precision surveying both internationally and across Australia. Details of funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised. I will inform this email list when they are forthcoming.
