I am presently advertising three new funded PhD projects. These form part of a team of about 15 working on tracking and predicting the future of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet. The project is well supported with travel and professional development
funds through a recent ARC Laureate Fellowship award.

Eligibility: these are all open to international and Australian domestic applicants, with relocation support
Closing date: there is an initial closing date of December 1, 2025 but they will be reopened if the positions are not filled
Commencement: during 2026

I expect to advertise further PhD positions in 2026 for 2027 commencement. If you have a strong track record in quantitative Earth sciences (broadly) and wish to have a discussion please let me know.
