AGTA17 Genomics conference in Hobart

Hi everyone, There's a genomic technologies conference happening in Hobart October 29th to November 1st that you should consider checking out. Abstracts for talks close in a bit over a week (3rd July) but registration is open longer so get the abstracts in! It is interdisciplinary, has some great speakers lined up, includes travel awards (even for locals), a family room if you need it, conference dinner at Mona, lots of awards and prizes and best of all, covers lots of awesome science. There's also two pre-conference workshops<http://agtaconference.org/pre-conference-workshops-2/> (a symposium on gene editing and a workshop on single cell sequencing) that locals can register for without attending the conference! Genome Workshop: Darn darn darn, darny darn!

Dear everyone, I’m very sorry to announce that, most regrettably, we can no longer go ahead with Dr Munoz-Torres’ workshops, which were to take place on the 29th and 30th of this month. The travel agent / visa company she commissioned to get her over here messed it up and so she doesn’t have a visa, and cannot travel to Australia. If you’ve registered and paid, then please accept our apologies for getting your hopes up! I know I was very much looking forward to the two days. I’ll contact Finance to see how we get your monies back to you. Genome Annotation and Open Science workshop -- please register
